Application is not able to connect after some time

Confused ?

Application is not able to connect after some time

Postby angedelamort » Mon Dec 28, 2009 4:57 pm

Hello,

I don't know if I'm the only one who got that problem, but it seems that after a certain time of playing a movie (+40 min) (or if nothing play and it goes to the "dark screen" mode [tv saver?]), the app is not working anymore. To be able to use it, I need to go manually with my keyboard in the network settings and deactivate/activate the web service.

So, I don't know if the problem is XBMC http server that crash? or a bug with your app?

Multimedia System: Acer Revo with XBMC Live 9.11
Remote System: iPhone 3Gs with latest version from iStore

Thanks in advance.

Hmm. Sounds to me like the webserver is crashing. You should try to get a full debug log to see if this is the case.

Cheers,

After doing some investigation, it's a web server issue. I don't know if it's because I'm running on a memory card, but after some time, the server crash. I think I'll try the lie install on my HD and see if it fix the problem. Otherwise the application is working nicely.

just wanted to post again on that topic if someone has the same problem.

I finally decided to install XBMC Live on my box and guess what? It doesn't crash anymore. So it seems that the web server is unstable when running on a SD flash card.

Hmm, that is good to know. Maybe we should let the XBMC devs know ;)
