using ssh or iphonebrowser or the likes??

Postby mbze430 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 11:15 am

I really like the program. But I am unable to use your usb-client software. I think because I am using iphonebrowser? Anyway when I upload using the USB-Client software nothing ever shows up. (wasted 30mins)

So I moved to the web and ftp transfer... WAY tooooo slow.

So I like to ask, if you guys can tell me if the path/folder where I should upload to via ssh or iphonebrowser, that would save me alot of time.

I am on a iPhone 3G Jailbroken

Hey mbze430,

OS 4.0 has removed the USB api completely. Therefore, we will no longer be able to offer USB uploads. If you have tried to upload any media since the OS 4 update, you may want to clean out the temporary storage folder. The easiest way to do this is to choose "check for updates" from our USB client and install the latest version if you are already using the app. If not, download the latest version from from the link below. While running the latest version of the client, please choose "Cleanup failed imports" to empty the directory.

It's available for download here: http://collect3.com.au/video-safe-usb-client/

WE ARE DEFINITELY WORKING ON AN ALTERNATIVE ;) Keep your eyes iTunes for more information!

I'm using your software on an iPhone 3G on firmware 3.1.3. DOn't know if that really applies to me if you are talking about IOS 4. Unless your SDK is limiting you to compile a working USB connector.

Anyway I have full access to the iphone's root. if you just tell me where to place the pictures, it would be much easier.

Have you upgraded to the latest version of VideoSafe? If you are not using OS 4, usb should still work. I have feeling it is because your phone is jailbroken. This gives you access to directories you wouldn't normally have and in some instances tries to upload the files to the wrong location using the USB client. Try putting you files in DCIM/VideoSafe and doing the import again.
